The Leading Edge Dance Company
The Leading Edge Dance Company (formerly Kathy Marfin's Dance School Competition Team) is in its 16th year of competition! For the past 15 years we have competed with Solos, Duets, Trios and Small and Large Groups in numerous categories, including Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Lyrical, Contemporary, Modern, Tumbling and Pointe.
2008 Stage One Nationals Shootout Champions!
Our students have won numerous outstanding awards, including many 1st place Overall and Platinum awards. We have also received many special awards from judges including the “Elegance Award”, “Well-Rehearsed Award”, “Outstanding Ballet Performance”, “Outstanding Jazz Performance”, “Outstanding Costume”, and “Smooth Moves” for group performances and “Dancer of the Year” and two “Distinguished Performer” awards for soloists.
In 2010, LEDC was awarded 27 Platinum/1st Place awards, 18 Overall Awards, 3 "Showmanship" Judges Awards, a "Costume" Judges Awards, and a "Precision" Judges Choice Award, 2 Stage One National Shootout Qualifiers, with one of those routines winning 3rd Overall!
Membership for The Leading Edge Dance Company is by invitation only. To be evaluated for Company, call Tiffany at 210-655-8115. We send out invitations in May, however we can accept new members up until the first week of August.
